Tour de Cowtown

The September 14, 2024, Tour de Cowtown is in the books. Words can’t express our thanks to all of those who contributed to the success of this year’s ride. When you include the riders and the wonderful volunteers, there were upwards of 400 participants at the Tour de Cowtown. Team Suicide Prevention would like to express our concern thanks to Matt Doke’s leadership in organizing and marketing this woderful event. Thank you to Matt Doke and Buster Brown for their dedication to our cause and all the hard work they both do to help us raise funds for suicide prevention and mental health assistance. ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is our mission focus for TSP’s future goals and objectives. ASIST offers a complete model of suicide first-aid intervention that provides a consistent approach to helping from initial contact through follow-up. ASIST is a two-day workshop (presented over two consecutive days) that is designed to enhance caregiver skills to intervene until either the immediate risk of suicide is reduced, or additional resources can be located. Team Suicide Prevention is developing a plan to bring this workshop to our community. Please stay tuned for more information on this project.

Thanks again to a team who cares and is so giving of their time for our cause.
