The Pumpkin Holler Ultra Run

Today is the Pumpkin Holler Ultra  Run. The Pumpkin Holler race includes a distance for just about everyone. 100 Mile, 100K, 50K, 25K and 10 Mile races ensure everyone sees the beauty of rural eastern Oklahoma. The gravel roads and frequent aid stations provides the perfect environment for your first long-distance race. The crew from Tulsa’s Runner’s World puts on a great race.

Our Team Suicide Prevention co-crew chief, Charlotte Lindley is running the 25k along with our TSP crew members Ashley Robertson and Carolyn Glenn. It’s been 2- 1/2 years since Charlotte ran a race and she  is running today with a complete knee replacement which she had just 5 months ago. Around here, we call that “Awesome Tough”!. Our Crew Chief, Dennis Crosby is running the 100k. Dennis completed the Tulsa Urban Adventure 50 Mile race just four weeks ago. Another “Awesome Tough” member of our team. We are so proud of our amazing Crew Chief Team.

Our RAAM bike riders will be racing tomorrow in the Pumpkin Holler Gravel Smasher. (30 miles, 60 miles, or 70 miles). Today’s weather is sunshine, lots of wind, and temps in 50’s to 60’s. Tomorrow’s  forecast is light rain. Rain or shine the race goes on. Unlike most routes with low line dirt and sand, the gravel at Pumpkin Holler will not be a mud fest. The gravel is packed hard and will be great. We will get down and dirty though.

Whether we are riding our bikes or running the trails, we are Team Suicide Prevention Strong!
