The Team Suicide Prevention Racing Teams
Team Suicide Prevention includes medical professionals, former policy makers, retired executives, retired first responders, tradesmen, disabled veterans, women, men, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters, all of whom whose lives have been significantly altered by suicide or have close ties to those who have. At our core, we embrace endurance activities whether it is running, biking, or even triathlons. We race in the toughest endurance races to raise awareness for suicide prevention, mental health issues, and highlight those who work on the front lines of this battle and spread hope across America. These races range from truly international events such as the Race Across American and Race Across The West to events in our local community. We are very appreciative of the support received from local businesses such as Bixby Bicycles and Runner’s World in partnership to support cycling events that include Pumpkin Holler Gravel Smasher, Blazing Saddles, and Tour de Cowtown.
It’s important to note that Team Suicide Prevention’s history of success is made possible by teamwork, mission focus, and the focus of individuals coming together to support a community cause that extends well beyond riding our bicycles. We are always looking for individuals who share our objective to raise awareness for Suicide Prevention and Mental Health issues. If you have an interest in joining our team or becoming a volunteer, please feel free to contact us at this link: Join Our Team
In 2021, Team Suicide Prevention participated and finished the 3,000 Race Across America with an 8-person/8-crew team and followed up in 2022 to participate in a finish the 930 mile Race Across The West with a 4-person/6-crew team.
We had an amazing and dedicated group of cyclists and crew that worked together day and night to get us successfully to the finish line in both of these international events.
Check out our racers/crews for these two events below:

2022 Race Across the West Re-Cap
This year was the 14th edition of the Race Across the West. What a year! This year’s race was characterized by 4 things: 1) racers from outside the USA were back in force – riders representing 9 countries participated; 2) racers from just about every age group participated; 3) RAAM veterans were well represented – there were 4 RAAM veterans with 13 Solo RAAM finishes between them; and 4) there was an equal number of solo and team participants. We had a major re-route – 122 miles – due to a major wildfire north of Flagstaff, Arizona.
There were 22 solo participants (5 women and 17 men) and 6 teams (3 - 2P teams and 3 – 4P teams). Riders from 10 countries participated – Brazil, Canada, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Slovenia and, of course, the USA.
The RAW Team Race
Six teams, all from the USA participated. Team Kinetix won 4-Person 50-59 age group, covering the 918.5-mile course in 2d:12h:20m (15.2 mph); Team Suicide Prevention won the 4-Person 60-69 age group in 2d:14h:46m (14.6 mph); and Team Alaska won the 4-Person mixed 60-69 age group in 2d:11h:29m (15.4 mph). The Team Alaska ride established a 4-Person Mixed 60-69 age group record.
