In The Race To Save Lives

Team Suicide Prevention includes medical professionals, former policy makers, retired executives, retired first responders, tradesmen, disabled veterans, women, men, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters, all of whom whose lives have been significantly altered by suicide or have close ties to those who have. We are racing in the toughest endurance race to raise awareness for suicide prevention, mental health issues, and highlight those who work on the front lines of this battle and spread hope across America. We are proudly supporting key organizations who are on the front lines and in the trenches, In The Race to Save Lives. These organizations, The American Foundations for Suicide Prevention, Hope Is Oxygen, and The Coffee Bunker are standing with us and will be the recipients of our fund raising efforts. While racing and working with these organizations, we will be producing a documentary video that we envisioned to be viewed by our families, friends, supporters, and followers. The video will highlight and bring awareness to the wonderful work of the organizations that our team supports along with life changing stories of individuals who share their personal experiences of struggles, healing, and hope.

Our goal is raising funds to contribute to these crucial organizations who are in the forefront of suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Working together, we are restoring hope and saving lives. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to contribute to the targeted organizations further enabling them to continue their most important mission to help those in need. We continue with your support to chip away toward this fund raising objective.

RAW follows the first 930 miles of the RAAM course, from Oceanside, CA to Durango, CO and starts alongside the RAAM solo racers. Traversing some of the most beautiful country in the west, RAW leaves the beach in Oceanside, climbs the Coastal Range and the drops into the scorching desert. After crossing the deserts of California and Arizona, racers begin a gradual climb into the mountains surrounding Flagstaff, AZ and eventually into the Rocky Mountains. The race finishes at Fort Lewis College in the cycling mecca of Durango, CO.

Our mission will not end at the finish line. The team will continue on-going efforts and activities to bring focus and fund raising to our partner organizations.
